9-42 meets Chris Catalyst

The one where Jason nattered to Chris, whilst Ant went out for Tapas.

Of course that hadn't been the plan, but what with one thing (Ants birthdays having been during lockdown) and another (Chris leaving his mobile upstairs) it was left to Jason to pose the questions.

And what an entertaining & informative chat it turned out to be. So settle down we a family size bag of potato-based snacks and let Chris tell you about his new album, blagging his way on tour with Ugly Kid Joe, buying the perfect 335 in lockdown and the two bands he will probably never leave, The Sisters of Mercy & Eureka Machines.

P.S Check out his biog - it's probably one of the best we have ever read.

About the Podcast

9-42
The Guitar Show Podcast
9-42 is the podcast from the team behind The Guitar Show, the UK's biggest annual guitar event.

I'm Jason, and when I am not co-hosting this podcast I am trying to organise the next Guitar Show. The other co-host is Ant, we've known each other for years and he's the fella that pressured me in to doing this.

Each episode we will endeavour to bring you the stories behind the gear, to talk to the artists, the influencers and the manufacturers that keep us playing and loving the guitar.

I have been tinkering with audio since my mid-teens, recording songs & producing content for friends.

Post university I embraced the world of retail, firstly in supermarkets and later in & around the music instrument industry.

After 20 years or so, I took a sideways step into podcasting and began a venture called ashortstories, which helps in the development & production of podcasts for anyone that has a story to tell.
